ABOUT ME
With over 30 years of experience in Montessori education, Nichole Gant is an award-winning educational leader, consultant, and Rutgers Certified Master Gardener recognized for her innovative approach to whole-child learning. She integrates Montessori philosophy, trauma-informed practices, and nature-based education to create transformative experiences that foster curiosity, resilience, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
As a Head of School, and the founder of the Oaks Montessori School in Austin, Texas, Nichole mentors educators, develops innovative programs, and strengthens school communities nationwide. Her expertise has led to collaborations with the Biden Administration, and was awarded an Innovation award by Google, and Microsoft to design and implement impactful child-centered educational initiatives using the Montessori model.
Nichole specializes in sensory, edible, and educational garden design for homes, schools, and community organizations. Through hands-on nature exploration and environmental stewardship, she helps create learning environments that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, sensory, and physical development while promoting, self-regulation, and meaningful connection.
A recipient of the 2024 American Montessori Society Emerging Leadership Award, Nichole is also a parent coach, speaker, and guest lecturer at the University of Texas and Texas State University. She is passionate about helping children, families, and educators thrive through innovative leadership, purposeful learning, and the restorative power of nature.
